These immersions are flexible and designed for those who are simply interested in a specific teaching, continuing education, or interested in becoming a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher.
The 9-20hr weekend modules offered by Atha Yoga Shala are a complete comprehensive training program designed for individuals aiming to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga, culminating in a 200-hour Yoga Alliance-approved certification.
To achieve the 200-hour certification approved by the Yoga Alliance, participants must not only complete the 180 hours of training provided during the weekends but also engage in their own uninterrupted yoga practice outside of the classroom. This personal practice is crucial for deepening one’s understanding and embodying the principles taught throughout the course.

Incorporating the three pillars of Ayurveda into one’s lifestyle involves a continuous process of learning, adaptation, and mindful living. It requires an understanding of one’s body and mind, the willingness to make adjustments as needed, and the dedication to maintaining practices that support holistic health. This journey is highly individualized, reflecting the unique constitution and life circumstances of each person. As such, the exploration and application of these principles can provide a rich, fulfilling path to wellness and vitality throughout one’s life.
Throughout the immersion, participants will engage in interactive lectures, practical demonstrations, hands-on activities, and experiential exercises to deepen their understanding of Ayurveda and its practical applications for health and well-being. The kitchari recipe and cooking demo will provide participants with a tangible example of Ayurvedic dietary principles, while the sessions on Brahmacharya and Nidra will offer practical tools and techniques for cultivating balance and vitality in daily life. The exploration of Atma Tattwa will invite participants to deepen their self-awareness and connect with their inner wisdom for holistic health and spiritual growth.

This workshop can provide participants with a deeper understanding of how specific yoga poses can be used to balance their unique constitution, thereby enhancing their overall health and vitality. This interactive immersion is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of Ayurveda, focusing on the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—and how they influence physical, mental, and emotional health. Participants will learn how to identify their predominant dosha and explore specific yoga asanas that can help balance their unique constitution. Natalie Sager, The Modern Hippie Mama is an Award-Winning Author, Speaker, Teacher, Holistic Health Consultant and Spiritual Guide bringing 25+ years of teaching experience to the Shala. Her tenure as a classically trained dancer, and performer, (RYT 500), & (PMA 600) enrich her passion & Dharma through teaching Yoga. Natalie weaves thought-provoking affirmations, powerful mudras, challenging postures, and soulful intentions throughout class. Practices are stimulating, energizing, spiritual, and graceful.
